OPI HAUL!

Hey guys!

Today I bring you an OPI Haul. Last week when I went to Walmart to get bean dip for Brandon and I walked passed the SmartStyle salon and saw that they sold OPI. I went in and browsed through the collections when I saw a section that was labeled "Buy 1, Get 2 Free" I was like "Yeahhh Buddy!" and decided to stock up on the ones that I liked the most. So when you think about it, it's like a paid about $2.80 something for each polish- which is a total steal! While I was hoarding the nail polishes in my hands, a lady asked if I needed a haircut. I thought about it for a second and decided what the hell? why not? and so got a haircut while I was there. lol *This is usually how my shopping adventures go* I walk in for one thing and get everything else but the thing I originally came in to get. I never did get the bean dip for Brandon but oh well, what can you do? ha
Anyways, these are my new babies in my nail polish hoard collection.

L-R: Just Spotted the Lizard, Number One Nemesis, My Boyfriend Scales Walls, I Brake for Manicures, Over the Taupe, and Road House Blues

This color is a golden/green color with a hint of a blue duo-chrome. To me it's an ugly color but I love it at the same time! It's my favorite out of all of the polishes because it's so unique. I've also heard that it was a dupe for Chanel's Peridot- even better!

This is a dark grey/silver sparkly color. Almost like a gunmetal shade with sparkles.

This creme color is like an off-white shade. It has a grey cast to it.

This shade is a dark, deep shade of brown- nearly black. No glitters in this polish at all.

This is like a light version of the previous shade. It's a beautiful light brown color.

Royal blue is what comes to mind when I see this shade. It's very rich in color and almost looks black.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best but it'll have to do!

What colors are you loving for the Fall season?

Eye Poppin' Series: Hazel/Green

Hey guys!
So if you follow me on Facebook, you might have seen that I got a request from one of my friends to do a series of looks that compliment different eye colors. I thought this was a great idea. So for my first look, I chose to do hazel/green eyes. Did you knooowwwww... that only about 2% of the world's population has green eyes? Pretty cool, huh? Consider yourself lucky if you fall into that percentage :)

For this look, I used pinks and raisin/plum colors. These colors bring out the green in hazel eyes and make green eyes really pop. When thinking about what colors to choose to really make your eyes pop, think about a color wheel. In this case, the phrase "opposites attract" is complete truth. When picking out a shade of eyeshadow, go for a color that is opposite of the color of your eye on the color wheel.

As you can see, red is the color that is directly across from green. Obviously, we don't want to put blood-shot red over the eyes because that would be pretty scary. So instead, go for warm colors like apricot and peachy shades on the lips and cheeks and try warm pinks and plum and raisin colors on the eyes. This is the best way to really make your eye color pop!

Enough talk, lets get down to the tutorial! :)

First, I placed a pinky colored cream base to the lid for added warmth. Place the color from lash line to crease and blend.

Next, I took a medium toned shimmery pink and added it over the cream base.

For the transition color, I placed a simple matte light brown into the crease to help the colors blend more effortlessly.

Next, I applied the highlight shade. Make sure that the shade you use isn't a silvery color. Think warm. Go for an eyeshadow closer to a cream color. Place this color underneath the brow and into the inner corner.

The last eyeshadow I used is this beautiful raisin color. I placed this color into the outer corner and slightly blended into the center of the lid. I also blended it into the crease a little so it would peek through when my eyes were open. Lastly, I added some to the outer half of the lower lash line.

Next, take a raisin colored eye liner and line the outer third/half of your top and bottom lid. This adds more depth and definition to your eyes.

Last, the most important step. Curl lashes and apply a couple coats of mascara.

The finished look! I think it's very pretty.
Oh, and SURPRISE! New haircut and color! lol

Maybe if I had green eyes?? lol
Now, this look isn't only for people with hazel or green eyes. Don't be scared to try it out even if you have purple eyes.

How to get a Deeper Clean with this Quick Tip

Hey guys!

Today I thought I'd share a quick tip on how to get a deeper, more precise clean with your Clarisonic in just 3 simple steps!

First, twist off the brush head.

Next, you will see little clips on the underside of the brush head. Pinch the clips in to remove the center.

Last, replace the center of the brush head onto your Clarisonic. Ta Da! Easy peasy!

I know this doesn't seem like much but trust me- it works! Try it. When you remove the outer rim of the brush head it makes getting into those awkward small places around your face super easy to get to (like around your nose). This also makes the brush head more concentrated in one area and allows for a deeper clean. :)

BONUS:

Check out my new makeup storage I bought yesterday! I haven't transferred my makeup over to it yet but will soon. What an upgrade compared to my old storage on the left. Much better :)

Laine Blogger Award

Hey guys!

I was recently nominated for the Laine Blogger Award by Livvy from A Teenager With A Keyboard. She  has such a cute blog so I recommend everyone go check it out :) Now... on to the good stuff

The Rules:

Tag the blogger who awarded you.
Answer the five questions below.
Award the Laine Blogger Award to five of your favorite bloggers.
Easy!

What is your current beauty obsession?

Right now I am really loving my Clarisonic. Lately, because of the changing weather, my skin has been acting kind of weird. It's dry in some spots and oily in others. My clarisonic has helped really keep my skin in balance. Plus, I love the way it gives my skin a super deep clean feeling.

What is the one beauty item you wish you owned?

I am still craving the Soleil Tan De Chanel Cream Bronzer. I still have yet to get it.

What’s your favorite post to read or write about?

I really love to read and see other people's hauls. I like to see the newest products on the market and to see what people are actually buying. I also love makeup tutorials. Those are probably my favorite to write about because I get to show off what I can do and be creative. I can also share helpful beauty tips with others :)

What inspired you to become a blogger?

After constantly watching hours of beauty gurus on Youtube I realized one day "Hey, I can do that!" and decided to start a blog. I wanted to start making Youtube videos but figured blogging would be a good place to start until I get more comfortable.

What nail polish are you wearing right now?

I currently have on OPI Black Cherry Chutney and Sinful Colors Forget Now.

The nominees I choose are:

Jessica - The Mod Mermaid

Wish List #1

wish list #1

Hey guys!

I wanted to start posting "Wish Lists" posts because these are the things that if I had a lot of money lying around I would purchase. I spend a lot of time scoping the Internet for things that I convince myself I need. Then, I begin obsessing over them until either A) I buy it or B) something newer and shinier comes out that impresses me more than the initial thing I wanted. Anyways, these are the things on my wish list for this week... or at least for today.

1. Mint Blazer - I know this is a spring-time, pastel color but I have really been wanting a blazer in this color and was never able to find one... anywhere (not unless I wanted to give up an arm and a leg). Mint has become one of my favorite colors this past year. I have quite a collection of blazers and feel like I need a mint to complete it. Maybe I can find one now on sale somewhere so I can wear it next Spring? Wish me luck.

2.  Heel-less Pumps - When I first saw these shoes I immediately knocked them. I couldn't imagine anyone being able to actually walk in them. But, of course, about a week later I wanted them. I tend to like things that are pretty unique. I have never seen or tried on a pair of these shoes so I can't exactly say whether or not I would actually be able to walk in them but I would like to have them in my closet just to look at. :) Is that so wrong?

3. Dior Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond - First off, I want this product for the obvious reason that it has my name on it. DUH! jk. Every time I see this at the makeup counter I swatch it on my hand. It is so pretty and shiny and just plain beautiful to look at. I love the packaging and the colors are just so perfect together. This highlight leaves your skin looking so glow-y and healthy. I've read online that the dupe for this is ELF's Golden Bronzer, which I already own so, other than the price that's another reason why I haven't splurged on this highlighter.

4. MAC Lipglass in Pink Lemonade - This color looks like the perfect pink for any makeup look. I love the pinky-coral tint it has.

5. Alex 9-drawer unit from IKEA - This has been on my wish list for a looooong time now. I honestly don't have a good reason as to why I haven't boughten it yet. There are so many "Makeup Collection" videos I've watched on YouTube where girls have used this to store their ENTIRE collection plus nail polishes and hair products. This is really what I NEED!

What are some things that I might find on your Wish List?
