DIY: Jewelry Holder

 Hey guys!
I had been wanting to buy something to organize my jewelry but all the jewelry organizers I found seemed too small to fit everything so I figured I'd make my own jewelry holder/organizer. I love the way it turned out! It's so much prettier and more organized than before. I purchased the candle holders and glass jar with top from the dollar store. At the time, they were out of glass plates so I purchased two from Walmart for $3 each and I had the hot glue gun on hand. This tutorial is super easy and I would recommend everyone to make this. So let's get started!

Make sure to let the hot glue gun to heat up really hot.

Add glue to the rim of the candle holder and place in the middle of the underside of the plate.

Take your second candle holder and apply glue to the bottom rim and glue it to the center of the 1st plate. Then, apply glue to the top rim and place the second plate in the middle on top.

Last, do the same thing but apply the glass jar.

This is how I "organized" my jewelry before and it was a cluttered mess!

This is how it looks after... I absolutely love it! I love looking at it when I walk into my closet.

On the bottom plate I have bracelets and watches. The middle plate holds my rings and the top holds my earrings.

New Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm

Hey guys!
While at Walmart the other day, I came across these Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balms (that's a mouthful) and decided to pick one up to try it out.  I got the shade Coral Twist. They had SEVERAL shades to choose from.

I used to love Covergirl, but over the past few years I haven't found anything that I really couldn't live without. These jumbo balms are, by far, one of the best things that I've grown fond of from their line in a long time. I would say that these are like a hybrid between the Revlon Lip Butters and Revlon Kissable Balm Stains. The packaging is very similar to the Kissable Balm Stains while the formula is very much like the Lip Butters.

These Jumbo Balms glide on so smoothly and have great color pay-off. They do not stain the lips but last on the lips like any other balm would. I found that this kept my lips moisturized and never dried them out. There is a shiny finish once applied to the lips.  I can honestly say that I am considering getting a few more colors because I love the way it feels and looks on my lips. I think this shade in particular would be perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons.

One thing that I don't like is with the packaging. Once you take the plastic wrapping off, the name of the shade is no where to be found on the actual tube and only the number of the shade is on the bottom. Other than that, everything else is perfect.

Packaging is very similar to Revlon Kissable Lip Stains and Clinique Chubby Sticks

My Everyday Foundation Routine Video

Hey guys!
Last week I got a request to show how I do my foundation with the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation. I was going to do a step-by-step tutorial as per usual but then I decided why not do a video? Right? It just seemed easier than trying to explain. Plus, it's more fun to watch a video than to simply look at a hundred pictures followed by a thousand words. So, without further ado, here is my first video (EVER) doing my everyday foundation routine.

Review: Nicole by OPI Drying Drops

Hey guys!

Today I bring you a review on Nicole by OPI Drying Drops. I was in Target the other day and picked this up for half off. The original price was $7.04 and I paid $3.52. This bottle contains a clear liquid that looks like water and feels like a light oil. These drops are made to dry your nails to the touch after one minute and completely dry them in five minutes. I have been in desperate need of something to dry my nails almost instantly and this has been the perfect thing to help me out. 

These drying drops comes with a miniature dropper so you can easily drop the liquid on your nails.

It takes about 2 drops for each nail. I chose to do this over the sink so the excess liquid will runoff into the sink. I also like to angle my nails downward and drop the drops at the base of the nails and allow it to run down the length of the nails so the entire nail gets a nice coat.

This is after one minute and my nails are dry to the touch. They have an oil residue feeling on them but nothing gross or anything. 

Overall, I really like these drying drops. I think this was a steal considering the price. I've used other products exactly like this but have been way more expensive. This was a great deal and I would recommend this to anyone who's just as impatient as I am when it comes to waiting for nail polish to dry.

• I like to make up my own rules, so this is what I have to say about the last two things I "have" to do for this tag...

1. What do you like most about blogging?

I like that I am able to express myself. I like that this is something that is all mine. Everything on here is me and no one else's. That's what I like. I have the freedom to post anything I please. :)

2. If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mmmmm... this is hard. I love ice cream, chocolate, mac n cheese, chicken, and pizza. lol Ya know, the healthy stuff. Really any one of those would be good.

3. What's your favorite makeup brand?

I really like Urban Decay and MAC (high end wise). As for the drugstore, I love Revlon and Wet N Wild. 

4. Do you prefer cats or dogs?

Dogs. Definitely. Here's a picture of my dog Shadow. She passed away a few years ago but I still think about her all the time. She was the best dog in the world! In this picture we caught her talking to us. She LOVED to "talk" to people. We got her from the SPCA in Houston and we found out that the owners before us beat her and that's why the tip her tail was broken. She turned out to be the best dog I've ever been friends with. She really was my best friend in a dog. 

5. Who is your favorite Youtube Beauty guru?

No. lol

No. I need to tell myself to do it more often.

Yes. Pretty much everyone knows about my blog and everyone who really knows me knows how big of a makeup freak I am so it really didn't come as a surprise. 

9. If you didn't blog about beauty, what else would you blog about?

This question is kind of hard for me... Daily life maybe? Idk. To be honest, I probably wouldn't blog if it wasn't about beauty.

10. What's your favorite type of foundation? (powder, liquid etc.)

Liquid, hands down. I can't stand mineral powders and stuff like that. I know some people love them but I personally hate mineral makeup. I like liquid foundation and I always set it with a powder.

11. Are there days when you don't wear any makeup at all?

Yes, and those are the days where I don't typically leave the house. lol

Target Beauty Bag

A few days ago I received my free Target Beauty Bag. For those of you who don't know what this is- it's a free small makeup bag filled with samples for you to try.
