Celeb Look: Leighton Meester

Hey Everyone!

A few days ago my little sister, Crystal, and I were looking up makeup looks that we liked and decided that this look of Leighton Meester was very pretty. These pictures are from July 2010 at a Chanel Fashion Show where she sat in the front row. I really like this look because it's simple but has a little "edge" to it. I decided since I received a lot of feedback from my Emma Watson look that I would do a step-by-step tutorial on this look. Let me know what you think and if you like the step-by-step tutorials. :) ENJOY!

Apply a dark gray cream base to lids -from lash line to crease. I used an eyeliner here. *TIP- If your eyeliner doesn't glide on as smoothly as you would like for it to, hold the end of it over a lighter for a second (literally 1 second- you don't need it to completely melt) and it will warm the product up making it easier to work with. This step does not need to be neat, as you can tell.

Blend, Blend, Blend. Take your ring finger and blend the cream base out. In this step you will create the shape for this look. You don't want there to be any harsh lines. Blend slightly above the crease and out into the outer corners.

For the rest of this look, I used my NAKED 2 palette from Urban Decay. The colors I used are all basic colors, so you shouldn't have a real hard time finding eyeshadows that are similar. Take Pistol, or a light shimmery gray, and apply it from your lash line to your crease.

Take Verve (silver color) and apply it in the top inner corner of your lid.

Apply Snakebite and line the bottom outer half of your your lid.

Next, take Half Baked and line the bottom inner half of your lower lid.

Apply Foxy, or skin-toned shade, to highlight underneath your eyebrow

To add depth, take Blackout (or a matte black) and add a tiny bit into the crease and blend outwards like your would to create a cat eye with your shadow.

Apply brown eyeliner into the top and bottom inner rims. Then, curl lashes and apply a few coats of mascara.

Now you have the completed eyes! :)
