I haven't posted in a while, so today I thought I'd give you a life update to let you know what I've been up to lately. I've debated on this post for a while but then came to the conclusion that this is my blog and I'm going to post what I want... even if it helps me cope with a few things. I know I typically post beauty and fashion related things (and you will find that even in this post) but I today I thought I'd get a little personal.
So, I'm just going to start...Brandon and I got into a car accident. We were going through a green light and a lady coming from the opposite direction took a left and plowed into the front driver side of my car. The air bags deployed, the windshield cracked, and the front left of my car is destroyed. We were beaten up a little and were sore from the impact but no one went to the hospital and everyone is alive and safe. The police did not file a police report and there were no "witnesses." My car is totaled and I'm still not sure if it will get fixed since I only had liability insurance on it but I still have a little hope. Here are a few pictures of my car.
These few pics are from the night of the accident. |
Everything kind of flew out. |
The officer gave us a ride back to the hotel in the back of his patrol car. |
These pics are from the next morning at the dealership where my car was towed to. |
Life sucks sometimes but you learn to deal and move on. Though, I'm pretty sure that was easily the worst day of my life. I'm just thankful that we are safe now.
So to end this with a few things not so depressing, I'll let you in on what I've been doing school wise and finally an OOTD. YAY! lol This is like 4 posts in one so maybe this will make up for the time I've been absent.
I've been super busy with school. I actually had 6 assignments to do yesterday. My LAWRD! Ugh. I'm glad that's done with. One of my assignments I had to do this week was to create a Math center for a first grade class. I had to create all parts of the center, transport it and set it up at an Elementary school, and finally work with a student in the center. Here's in idea of what it looked like.
I chose to do a "greater than, less than, or equal to" center. I named it Gator Math. They work in partners and read two math word problems. They record their work on the data sheet, find both answers in the stack of numbered cards, place them on the board and then choose an alligator head to determine if the first answer is greater than, less than, or equal to the second answer. I thought it was cute. lol
So for my OOTD, the other day I wore an oversized white tee with an army jacket that I paired with a simple gold necklace, black waxed jeans and plain black ballet flats. The highlight of this outfit was definitely the pants. I love them! They add an edgy feel to the look and are completely in right now.

Ok, this doesn’t seem to be right. The police should have still filed a report about the accident since it would be a great help for future legal reference. This is a very serious matter, Amber. You should totally ask for legal assistance.

Your car was severely totaled and I agree that there must be a police report that was filed with this incident. When you decided to take this case into a legal procedure, I’m pretty sure you were asked to present police reports. Well, we don’t want this to happen again, but if it does, make sure that you have to ask for a police report. This will be very strong evidence that you can present in court when you’ll be claiming for your compensation and insurance. :)
